Lighting Awards
Now taking applications for 2010 Lighting awards. Once again, recognition will be presented to individuals and/or firms who have designed and installed exemplary lighting projects completed in the Greater Pittsburgh area.

The categories of lighting projects that will receive awards are:
COMMERCIAL LIGHTING (indoor)
INSTITUTIONAL LIGHTING (indoor)
INDUSTRIAL LIGHTING (indoor)
RESIDENTIAL LIGHTING (indoor)
FACADE, OUTDOOR OR LANDSCAPE LIGHTING
SUSTAINABLE DESIGN

Scholarship Program

Each year, the Electric League awards $1000 scholarship to graduating high school seniors. Congratulations to this year's winners!

2009 recipients are:

Natalie Ricci, daughter of Nick Ricci, Square D
Jenna Gannon, daughter of George Gannon, Astorino

Who is eligible to apply?

Graduating High School seniors whose parent or guardian is a member or support employee of the Electric League; and plan to attend an accredited four-year college or university next year. Final candidates are expected to attend one interview in May and Awardees are expected to attend the EL summer golf outing.

Scholarships in the amount of $1000 each will be awarded to candidates.

Electric League of Western Pennsylvania

The Mission of the Electric League of Western Pennsylvania is to be the recognized leader that educates and promotes the electrical industry.

The objectives of the Electric League of Western Pennsylvania are:

1. to serve as the key organization and headquarters for the electric interests in Western PA

2. to promote the general interests of the electrical and lighting industry

3. to keep members informed on new developments in methods, materials and markets

4. to serve the public by coordinating the efforts of all branches of the industry for the purpose of stimulating more extensive and efficient service

5. to promote mutual acquaintance and good fellowship between the members of the industry.
